On the other hand, in the GPM, payment starts from low and increase with time, this would only mean that one would pay more in the next decade. Conversely, the ARM too would not be a safe option since the initial rate would be fixed for a certain period of time, after which it would adjust itself periodically either annually or monthly, with the anticipated increase in the mortgage rates, one would pay more.
